HIGH PERFORMANCE DEVELOPMENT PATHWAY

 Every athlete starts somewhere.

At Heritage Pack Athletic Development (HPAD), we believe long-term success is built through a clear progression of training, competition, and personal growth. Our Athlete Development Pathway provides athletes with a structured roadmap that develops skills, athleticism, confidence, and competitive readiness over time.

Rather than chasing exposure before athletes are ready, we focus on building complete players first. As athletes progress through each stage, opportunities naturally follow.

Heroic

The Heroic Stage is where athletes take their first meaningful steps toward long-term development. Through Small Group Training and our Fall Academy Program, athletes focus on learning the fundamentals of basketball while developing confidence, discipline, and a strong work ethic. Athletes learn how to train, how to compete, and how to approach challenges with a growth mindset.

Development Focus:

Fundamental skill development

Basketball IQ foundations

Movement and coordination

Confidence building

Character and accountability

Programs in this stage follow Canada Basketball’s Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model — specifically the FUNdamentals and Learn to Train phases — ensuring every beginner and intermediate athlete receives proper technique development, age-appropriate instruction, and a strong foundation to advance with purpose.
